Camper Policies
Dress Code Policy:
Please be aware that we strongly reinforce the policy of Tznius at camp. This means that all girls must be dressed modestly with skirts (without slits) that cover the knee when sitting. Only knee socks or tights are acceptable. As well, girls are to wear shirts that cover their elbows and collar bone. (Therefore, no low neckline or any other clothing deemed inappropriate with camp policy allowed). Only one piece bathing suits are allowed.
Sleep Attire – Nightgowns, (no shorts or tank tops allowed). Makeup and nailpolish are not allowed.
Book and Music Policy:
Girls bringing reading material should bring books with Jewish content only. (No magazines are allowed). As well, girls who are bringing music should bring proper music with Jewish content. Any item that is deemed inappropriate with camp policy will be confiscated and returned at the end of the camper’s stay. Do not send your child with a radio to camp.
Electronics:
Cell phones, I pods, MP3 players, DVD players, radios, computers, toasters, sandwich makers, refrigerators are not permitted in camp. If any of the above items are brought to camp, they will be confiscated and returned at the end of the camper’s stay
Lice policy:
All parents must have their children checked and, if necessary, treated for head lice before the beginning of camp. There will be staff checking for head lice before the campers board the bus, however, there will be a $100.00 charge for the treatment of a child with head lice at this point. Please make sure to take care of this important issue in order to avoid unnecessary embarrassment for your child.
Phone Policy:
Campers will be allowed to call home once a week according to a bunk rotation schedule. This schedule will be given to your child once in camp and posted on the camp website.
Package Policy:
For Montreal campers- packages will be taken up to camp by a driver on Fridays. These packages should be left in the administration office of Beth Rivkah Academy by Thursday at 2:00 PM. Please note that food packages will not be accepted.
All other articles (if small in size) are welcome.
Visitor Policy:
We welcome all parents to visit their child on Visiting Day. We ask that parents respect this policy as to avoid disrupting the daily camp schedule.
E-Mail Policy:
Directors E-mail address is info@camppc.com. Campers E-mail - Log on to our website www.camppc.com/contact. You can only email campers via our website. Campers will be able to respond to their E-mails by regular mail
We ask that both parent and child understand the significance of camp policies and the importance of following them.
We thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation.
Sincerely,
Rabbi & Mrs. D. Gurary
